Sober Academy is proud to be the first in our sector in the UK to offer an external accreditation for our courses through OCNCredit4Learning.

OCNCredit4Learning works with training providers in a wide variety of ways and in a wide variety of sectors.

OCNCredit4Learning are an educational charity who are learner focused and offer bespoke accreditation which necessarily draws upon best practice and guidelines in any sectors they work in.

OCNCredit4Learning has a legal constitution to operate as an Accrediting Body dating back to the 1980's. In addition, but not as a right to practice, OCNCredit4Learning are UKAS approved through ISO as a means to ensure all of their management quality assurance processes are maintained to the highest level throughout all aspects of their organisation.

Our Sober Intervention Training has been accredited Level Four by OCNCredit4Learning.

Our Recovery Coaching Training has been accredited Level Five by OCNCredit4Learning.

Levels and Credits

Credits are awarded at the following levels:

[icon_list] [icon_list_item type="circle"]Entry Level: The Development of basic skills concepts and practical activities.[/icon_list_item] [icon_list_item type="circle"]Level One: The consolidation of existing and the introduction of new skills, competencies and areas of learning. Comparable to NVQ Level 1 or GCSE low grades standard of learning objectives.[/icon_list_item] [icon_list_item type="circle"]Level Two: The extension and application of skills and competencies and introduction of independent learning techniques. Comparable to NVQ Level 2 or GCSE higher grades standard of learning objectives.[/icon_list_item] [icon_list_item type="circle"]Level Three: The development and independent application of a range of critical, reflective, creative and problem solving skills and competencies. Comparable to NVQ Level 3 or ‘A’ Level standard of learning objectives.[/icon_list_item] [icon_list_item style="color:green;" type="check"]Level Four: The evaluation of information and ability to use it to plan and develop investigative strategies; the application of innovative responses to well defined but often unfamiliar problems.[/icon_list_item] [icon_list_item style="color:green;" type="check"]Level Five: Mapped against the required learning and teaching at Degree/MA level. Credits

Credit Value is based on a notional learning time of 10 hours. The notional time is The total directed and independent study time that a learner will need on average to achieve the outcomes of any credit. Learners accumulate credits in a credit record.
